POSITION SUMMARY 

Pocket NC is a startup company in Bozeman designing and building 5 axis desktop CNC mills to serve educational, medical, and industrial customers. We are looking for a part-time person to assist with shipping/receiving coordination as well as various other tasks around the company (purchasing, inventory management, etc).  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities tasks and duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform these essential duties satisfactorily:

  • Ability to generate documents for customs/duties/taxes and understands when documentation is needed.
  • Understand the operations and logistics of shipping domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to generate shipping labels.
  • Ability to pack a machine with attention to detail and provide a positive un-boxing experience.
  • Ability to receive incoming shipments, document/track the order and place into inventory.
  • Ability to participate in inventory management using a Kanban system.
  • Ability to work within an export compliance program and help as needed with export screening and license documentation.

Experience and Education Requirements 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience of one to three years in problem solving and troubleshooting would be a plus. 
  • Inventory management experience would also be a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience purchasing is preferred.
  • Prior experience working within an export compliance environment is a plus.

  • Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment with industrial machines, multiple conversations, (ear protection is provided and required in some areas)
  • Must be able to listen, hear and talk in the English language
  • This position is very active and requires employees to frequently stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Regularly required to walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, lift, carry, push and pull 
  • Must be able to frequently lift a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another team member or mechanical assistance (such as a hand cart, etc)

Preferred Software Experience

  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Google Apps
  • Typing speed - minimum of 50 words per minute
  • Shipping websites(UPS, FedEx, USPS, Shipstation)
  • Familiarity with Mac OS, Windows OS and Chrome OS
